Smich Smanloh

Smich Smanloh (born 1979) is a Thai type designer based in Bangkok, Thailand. He trained as a graphic designer and began his career in the magazine business before taking a type design class at Cadson Demak. He later joined the studio and shifted his focus entirely to making type. He has worked closely with founder Anuthin Wongsunkakon on many projects, such as a corporate typeface for the major Thai telecom Telenor, and the typeface Modern Thailand commissioned for the Thai government by Winkcreative. Smich previously added Thai support to two families from the Commercial Type library: Darby Sans for the Thai edition of Wallpaper*, and Sanomat Sans for Grab, a popular ride sharing service.
