Stag Stencil
The Bold was commissioned by Esquire for their 75th anniversary issue, while the Light was commissioned by Red Bulletin magazine. In both cases, the clients wanted Stag's masculinity taken to almost comical extremes by making the implied "constructedness" of the characters explicit, leading to especially interesting forms in the italics.
